At Foundation Physical Therapy, our staff has extensive experience in working with the geriatric
population in a variety of settings. Many of our therapists are Geriatric Clinical Specialists or pursuing
their board certification in Geriatrics. We address orthopedic, neurological, and other system
changes that occur in the geriatric population.
We assess your muscle strength, sensory integrity, range of motion, balance, and gait to identify
impairments and implement appropriate interventions. Routinely, we develop plans of care to
reduce fall risk, improve gait patterns, increase independence with all functional mobility and improve
safety.
Individualized Treatment approaches may include:
- gait training
- balance training
- fall recovery training
- exercises to increase strength and flexibility
- pain reduction techniques and modalities
- assistive device training and management
- home environment recommendations
- caregiver training
- incontinence programs
Unlike most traditional Physical Therapy Clinics, Foundation Physical Therapy works heavily with the senior population in the Denver area. We focus heavily on Physical Therapy for Seniors in Denver and our clinics our build with seniors in mind.
