New Occupational Therapy services in clinic

We are happy to announce that we now have Occupational Therapy services available in our clinic.

  • Here is some information on a Occupational Therapist’s role:

The focus of occupational therapy is to help individuals achieve health, well-being, and participation in life through engagement in occupations (i.e., activities) (American Occupational Therapy Association [AOTA], 2014)

With occupational therapy services you can:

  • Stay as healthy and productive as possible, while managing a chronic medical condition.¹

  • Maintain or rebuild your independence, such as using assistive devices so you can care for yourself after a stroke.¹

  • Participate in the everyday activities important to you, such as driving, visiting friends, going to church, and other activities that keep you involved with your community.¹

    Occupational therapy services typically include:

  • Customized treatment programs to improve one’s ability to perform daily activities²

  • Comprehensive home and job site evaluations with adaptation recommendations²

  • Performance skills assessments and treatment²

  • Adaptive equipment recommendations and usage training²

  • Guidance to family members and caregivers.²
