Myung S Choi, PT, DPT, CSCS
Dr.Choi was born in Seoul, Korea and served the US and South Korea Army as a paramedic in a military hospital where he had his first exposure to physical therapy and rehabilitation. He received a bachelor of science in Kinesiology from Rutgers University with Summa Cum Laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society. Then, he earned Doctor of Physical Therapy from Columbia University where he was a recipient of the merit scholarship.
Prior to joining Foundation, Dr. Choi first worked in an outpatient clinic in Arizona where he saw many tactical athletes including fire fighters, law-enforcement officers and Special Forces. After that, he moved to Los Angeles and worked with world-renowned physicians and surgeons from Cedars-Sinai, Santa Monica Orthopedic Group and Kerlan-Jobe.
Dr. Choi regularly attends continuing education courses and seminars in order to provide up-to-date care. He completed a yearlong orthopedic physical therapy training at University of Southern California and holds a certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His current interest is rehabilitation and prevention for sports related injuries including concussion. Outside of physical therapy, he takes kickboxing classes and enjoys hiking with his wife.
